Digital Imaging and Recording

Digital Imaging services include digital photography, or photography with a digital camera (sorry, no studio portraits or weddings) and scanning. Additional photography related services include photo editing or photo compositing, as well as photo retouching and photo restoration, all using a computer. With the scanning service, print items, such as photographs, or transparencies (negatives or slides), can be brought into the digital age.

Please note that PTR maintains copyright on all work, unless otherwise specified, and reserves the right to use such work in its self-promotional materials, including this Web site. PTR will not include commissioned work in its gallery art sales.

Big or small, scenic or architectural, digital photography services using a professional grade, ditigal-SLR camera. We will come to you! Sorry, no studio portraits or weddings.

Retouch
To alter a photograph by using non-photographic techniques, such as air-brushing, with a computer or otherwise, with the intention of improving the image.

Correcting color, exposure, and other blemishes using a computer.

Basic-level retouching is included with photography and select scanning services.

Photo Editing or Compositing

Compositing
A process of combining, or layering, multiple images in a single frame.

Adding or deleting people, buildings, or other objects, photo editing using a computer.

Photographic Restoration
Remove the appearance of tears, mildew stains, and other damage from a copy of an image.

Restore faded or torn photographs using a computer.

Image and Document Scanning

With the scanning service, print items, such as photographs, or transparencies (negatives or slides) can be brought into the digital age.

Items that may be scanned include color images (images that are not photographs), grayscale or black & white images (images that are not photographs), and photographs or transparencies (negatives or slides). Photograph or transparency scanning service include basic-level photo retouching.
